First shoes

The longer a child can remain without shoes, the healthier it will be for the foot. Only after a child has been walking unaided for between 4 to 6 weeks or venturing outside should they be put into shoes. In order to allow the maximum freedom for bones to develop fully, the shoes must have plenty of room and not press on the toes.  Leather uppers will allow the foot to breath and the soles should be flexible and bend with the foot, as well as being light and non-slip.
